1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting southsanfranciscofence.com, contacting GV South San Francisco Fence, or engaging us to perform fencing services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and others who access or use our services.

2. Description of Services

GV South San Francisco Fence provides residential and commercial fence installation, repair, replacement, and related services in South San Francisco, California and surrounding areas. Services include but are not limited to: wood fence installation, vinyl fence installation, chain link fence installation, aluminum fence installation, privacy fence installation, fence repair, custom fence design, pool fence installation, automatic gate installation, ornamental iron fence installation, security fence installation, fence staining and sealing, and fence replacement.

All services are subject to a separate written estimate and contract between GV South San Francisco Fence and the customer. These terms and conditions apply alongside any such project-specific agreement.

3. Estimates and Pricing

Written estimates provided by GV South San Francisco Fence are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Estimates are based on the scope of work, site conditions, and material prices at the time of the estimate. Prices are subject to change if:

• The scope of work changes after the estimate is accepted
• Hidden site conditions are discovered during the work (for example, underground obstacles, rock, or unmarked utilities)
• Material prices change significantly before materials are ordered
• The customer requests changes or additions after work has begun

Any changes to the original scope of work that affect the price will be communicated to the customer before work proceeds. We do not perform additional work without customer approval.

4. Scheduling and Cancellation

Scheduling is confirmed in writing (email or text) after an estimate is accepted and a deposit is received. We make reasonable efforts to adhere to the agreed start date, but scheduling may be affected by weather, supply delays, permit processing times, or other factors outside our control.

Customers who need to reschedule should contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a scheduled start date will not result in any cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start date may result in a fee equal to actual costs incurred for materials ordered or work subcontracted in preparation for the job.

GV South San Francisco Fence reserves the right to reschedule work in cases of unsafe weather conditions, crew illness, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms are specified in each project contract. In general, the following applies:

• A deposit is required to secure your place on the schedule. The deposit amount is specified in your written estimate.
• The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work, before our crew leaves the property, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We accept payment by cash, check, or electronic transfer. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of estimate.

Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the unpaid balance. We reserve the right to pursue collection of unpaid balances through lawful means, including but not limited to filing a mechanics lien on the property if permitted under California law.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Before work begins, customers are responsible for:

• Ensuring clear access to the fence line and surrounding work area
• Removing or relocating pets, personal property, vehicles, and landscaping along the fence line
• Confirming the property boundaries or providing survey documentation if there is uncertainty
• Notifying GV South San Francisco Fence of any known underground utilities, irrigation systems, or drainage lines near the work area
• Obtaining HOA approval, if required by the customer's homeowners association

GV South San Francisco Fence is not responsible for damage to utilities, irrigation systems, or other underground infrastructure that was not disclosed prior to work beginning.

7. Permits and Compliance

Where a building permit is required by the City of South San Francisco or another local jurisdiction, GV South San Francisco Fence will obtain the necessary permit on the customer's behalf as part of the project. Permit fees are either included in the estimate or itemized separately. Work will not begin on permit-required projects until the permit has been issued. Customers are responsible for providing accurate information needed to obtain permits, including property address, legal ownership, and any existing permits or violations on the property.

8. Warranty

GV South San Francisco Fence warrants that all work will be performed in a professional manner and that materials will be installed as specified in the project contract. Specific warranty terms (duration and coverage) are stated in each project contract.

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by acts of nature, including wind, flooding, or seismic events
• Damage caused by third parties, vehicles, or impacts
• Normal weathering and color changes in wood or painted materials
• Damage resulting from lack of maintenance by the customer
• Modifications to the work made by any party other than GV South San Francisco Fence

Manufacturer warranties on materials (where applicable) are passed through to the customer and are subject to the manufacturer's own terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GV South San Francisco Fence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to any services provided or not provided, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits, or property damage not caused directly by our work.

In any event, our total liability to any customer for any claim arising from a project shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for that project.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Except as expressly stated in a written project contract, GV South San Francisco Fence makes no additional warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Our website and any information on it are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

11. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between you and GV South San Francisco Fence relating to our services or these terms, we encourage you to contact us first to try to resolve the matter informally. Reach us at contact@southsanfranciscofence.com or (650) 360-9238.

If informal resolution is not possible, the parties agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration in South San Francisco, CA under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking emergency relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Mateo County, California.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
